For years, the Party committee and government of Luonan has been working on cultivating the brand of Luonan Painting and Calligraphy and promoting the image of Luonan as the hometown of Chinese characters by utilising its unique and abundant cultural resources in a bid to introduce Luonan to the outside world. It is planned to build Luonan Painting and Calligraphy Museum, a 9-kilometer ring route around the concentration zone embracing sections of painting and calligraphy creation, exhibition and sales, a parking lot with a capacity of 1000 cars, facilities for reception centerm, a memorial archway, 50 pavilions and painting and calligraphy studios, 230 relevant facilities regarding galleries, the sales of writing brush, ink stick, ink slab and paper and the mounting of painting and calligraphy works.
