古亭山森林公园距离柳州市中心约为13公里，是柳州市实施“城市向东”开发战略的重点区域之一。古亭山森林公园海拔556米，从山底到山顶约6公里，森林植被保存较好，森林覆盖率较高，是得天独厚的登高游揽胜地。另外古亭山曾是“十四届国际奥委会主席杯全国百城市自行车赛柳州预赛”的终点站。在此筹建开发大型主题户外运动公园及相关配套设施，规划引进山地户外运动、拓展训练大型基地，打造广西最大、最专业的户外拓展运动主题公园。

About 13 kilometers away from the downtown of Liuzhou City, Guting Mountain Forest Park is one of the key areas designated under the city’s  strategy of Developing the East. Standing in the Park in an altitude of 556 meters, Guting Mountain of 6 kilometers high, has well-preserved vegetation and high afforestation rate, a privileged place for climbing and sightseeing. Besides, it was chosen as the terminal of a national bicycle event. Therefore, it is decided to build here the largest and most professional theme park for outdoor sports in Guangxi by introducing relevant facilities, mountain sports and developing the Outward Training Base.
