湖南省歌舞剧院的艺术家们大胆提出以马王堆出土的人物、文物为素材，创作一台立体全景式大型歌舞《马王堆传奇》。用舞蹈、歌曲、器乐演奏、杂技魔术、诗朗诵的艺术形式将惊世发掘的马王堆一号墓主辛追以及丞相利苍、长沙王吴臣的风采情感复活演绎。故事情节浪漫，展示文物唯美；西汉风情独特，湘楚气息浓郁。

Creatively making use of the unearthed figures and antiques, the artists of Hunan Dance Theater designed a three-dimensional panoramic large-scale song and dance Mawangdui Legend. In terms of dance, song, instruments, acrobatics and magic, and poetry reading, the story among Xin Zhui, the owner of tomb No.1, prime minister Li Cang, and Wu Chen, the imperior of Changsha is represented and revived. The story is romantic, touched with strong Xiangchu favor.

Sold and broadcasted by phone, Internet, Mobile TV, VOD and other new medium. The potential is rather promising.

Founded in 1953, Hunan Dance Theater has enlarged from initial ethnic dance team into a group including four sub-groups -- Song and Dance Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Vocal Ensemble and Orchestra, two offices -- composing room and stage art room and subsidiary dance school.
